Three different staffs, and I’m out – Daniel Hirsch

Newspaper – the class that never gets old.

As I write this as my last newspaper story, I look back at all the memories I made these last three years. I still remember being asked to join the class. I remember my first story, and how much better of a writer I have become. In these last three years, I have learned a lot. I have learned about writing and life from Mr. Grigsby, as well as from former editors and reporters.

My proudest moment being a part of the newspaper is when I was asked to be the Sports Editor going into my junior year. Being a part of “The Southerner” has allowed me to meet all kinds of people. I have been a part of three different staffs and have enjoyed each year with them.

I am very proud to say I have been a part of the Southerner the last three years. And, I wish the best to the next Sports Editor, along with the new staff next year.
