The Southerner: When you are stressed, what do you do to relax?
Gamroth: “Depending on my mood, I like to cook what I consider as my comfort foods, so Thai Curries and Korean BBQ.”
The Southerner: What is your favorite memory at Gibson Southern?
Gamroth: “I would say the escaped felon day. We got out on a Friday because there was an escaped felon in the area. It was very random. It was good weather out, and they announced that they didn’t want kids going to school because of an escaped prisoner in the area.”
The Southerner: If you were to be given an opportunity to go on a vacation with an unlimited budget, where would you go and what would you do?
Gamroth: “I would do a Europe tour road trip. Starting in Ireland, working my way down to the Mediterranean and then going back up through Eastern Europe. I would eat tapas in Spain and the best cheeses and wines in France and then go to Italy and get great pasta and seafood on the Mediterranean and then come up through the Swiss Alps. It’s all different, but I would do a food tour through Europe by car or even train.”
The Southerner: Who do you feel is an overrated musician or celebrity?
Gamroth: “Morgan Wallen because I just don’t see the hype, and he is racist.”
The Southerner: What would your occupation be if you were not a teacher and you did not have to make a living from that occupation?
Gamroth: “I would work in a restaurant and cook professionally. I would work at something that is like a high-end French restaurant.”
The Southerner: If you could play any instrument, what would it be?
Gamroth: “Drums because I used to play the drums, and I loved it but I just quit. I was in the marching band in high school.”
The Southerner: What is a big world problem that you would like to solve?
Gamroth: “The energy crisis. I want clean energy. I don’t want anymore coal or anything like that. I want solar or wind energy.”
The Southerner: Do you have pets? If not, would you like to have a pet? What kind?
Gamroth: “I do. I have a cat named Bigs. She is a black cat, and we found her on the side of the road. We call her Bigs or Biggles or Big Kitty or Kitty Baskin.”
The Southerner: What kinds of TikTok videos are your favorite?
Gamroth: “I have a lot of cooking videos and videos of children falling over. I love videos of kids falling over or old people. I think it’s funny.”
The Southerner: Would you rather read a book or watch a movie?
Gamroth: “That’s tough. Here lately I have been catching up on a lot of movies I think I’ve missed, but I also like reading books. I think it depends on where I’m at or what I’m doing.”
