Gracie Williams is a freshman at Gibson Southern. She is a cheerleader and a member of the Sunshine Society. Williams helps future cheerleaders by serving as an assistant coach for the Owensville cheerleading team. She wants to be a pilot in her future and already has started flying planes across Evansville.

The Southerner: In your free time, what do you like to do?
Williams: “It depends on my mood. If I am mad, I go on a run, and if I am not mad, I like hanging out with my friends. I love going out. Right now, I also watch a lot of scary movies because Halloween is my favorite season, and I like to decorate for it.”
The Southerner: What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Williams: “Butter pecan. It is so good, and I like all ice cream.”
The Southerner: What do you think is the most important quality for a teacher to have?
Williams: “They definitely have to like kids because I have had teachers who do not like kids at all or like to be around people. They have to have good energy and want to talk. They also have to stay on topic.”
The Southerner: What is one thing on your bucket list?
Williams: “To travel to every country. I love traveling.”
The Southerner: If you had time to listen to one last song, what would it be and why?
Williams: “It would probably be ‘Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince’ by Taylor Swift. She is my favorite of all time.”
The Southerner: What’s your favorite fast food chain?
Williams: “Subway. I am a huge Subway person. I get plain white bread with oven roasted chicken with white cheese and extra mayonnaise.”
The Southerner: Who do you feel is an underrated musician or celebrity?
Williams: “I feel like Selena Gomez gets a lot of hate, but she definitely deserves to be on top.”
The Southerner: Have you ever met anyone famous? If yes then where did you meet them?
Williams: “Not that I can really remember. But, if I had to choose someone to meet, it would be Morgan Wallen or Bailey Zimmerman. I love them!”
The Southerner: Do you like traveling? Where have you visited?
Williams: “Yes, I love traveling. I have been to Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Punta Cana and this year I am going to Jamaica. I think Mexico has been my favorite just because the water was nicer.”
The Southerner: What is one word that you can never spell correctly?
Williams: “I am terrible at spelling so literally every word. I always get ‘choose’ and ‘chose’ mixed up.”
