Tanner Boyd is a senior at Gibson Southern High School. He has accomplished great things as the football team’s quarterback. Last year, Boyd led Indiana in completion percentage and led the team to an undefeated regular season. Boyd makes for a great leader with his bold and kind personality.

Southerner: What expectations do you have for this coming postseason?
Boyd: “The expectation is to always go to Lucas Oil, but we have to go one game at a time, preparing for that team and not looking ahead.”
Southerner: What do you like to do in your free time?
Boyd: “I like to hang out with my friends and play PlayStation.”
Southerner: What’s your favorite local restaurant?
Boyd: “I would probably say Tai Chow.”
Southerner: If you could have any super power, what would you choose?
Boyd: “I would like to be able to fly because I could get to places faster.”
Southerner: If you could spend a week anywhere, where would you want to go?
Boyd: “I’d spend it at the beach. It’d be very relaxing.”
Southerner: What’s your favorite fast food restaurant and what do you get there?
Boyd: “I like McDonalds. I get a double quarter pounder and a medium fry.”
Southerner: If you could make any law or change in America, what would it be?
Boyd: “I’d change some of the speed limits to be able to get places faster.”
Southerner: What motivates you before a game?
Boyd: “Playing for my fellow brothers beside me motivates me.”
Southerner: If you could domesticate any animal in the world into a pet, what would your animal of choice be?
Boyd: “I’d like a tiger.”
Southerner: What’s your favorite and least favorite subjects?
Boyd: “My favorite is math and my least favorite is science.”
Southerner: What are your post-high school plans?
Boyd: “After high school, I’d like to be an electrician.”
