Junior Haley Hornby is a kind-hearted student at Gibson Southern. She has a rather busy schedule outside of school playing travel volleyball and working at Walmart. Hornby is a familiar face as she attended Fort Branch for all of grade school and is a native Gibson Southern Titan.

Southerner: What do you like to do in your free time?
Hornby: “I like to play travel volleyball, and I work at Walmart.”
Southerner: What’s your favorite sit-down restaurant?
Hornby: “Probably Texas Roadhouse in Evansville. I like to get a salisbury steak and mashed potatoes when I go.”
Southerner: Who’s your favorite music artist?
Hornby: “Frank Ocean. I really like his music.”
Southerner: What’s your favorite animal?
Hornby: “Cats. I like them because I have one at home.”
Southerner: Would you consider yourself a night owl or a morning person?
Hornby: “I’m a night owl. I stay up reading or watching TV.”
Southerner: What’s your favorite TV show?
Hornby: “Grey’s Anatomy. I watched all the seasons multiple times.”
Southerner: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you want to go?
Hornby: “I’d want to go to L.A. I want to move to a big city when I grow up.”
Southerner: What do you want to be when you graduate?
Hornby: “An occupational therapist. I want to be able to help special needs kids with their day to day lives.”
Southerner: Who is someone you look up to?
Hornby: “My brother. He’s grown up with me and been someone who I can look up to.”
Southerner: What’s your favorite and least favorite subjects?
Hornby: “My favorite is English and my least favorite is math. I like reading, so I like English, but I struggle with math.”
Southerner: If you could be famous for anything, what would it be?
Hornby: “Acting, because I grew up watching a lot of different actors.”
Southerner: If a genie granted you three wishes, what would you wish for?
Hornby: “I’d wish for money without a job, being able to graduate without completing high school and going D1.”
Southerner: If you were given a million dollars, what would you do with it?
Hornby: “I’d probably buy my mom a new house.”
Southerner: If you could make a change to Gibson Southern, what would you change?
Hornby: “I would put a new language department other than Spanish.”
Southerner: Who would you consider as your best friend?
Hornby: “Amiya Presley from Harrison.”
