Junior Alexis Vaal spends a lot of her time working at Carriage Inn. She is also in digital media with theatre arts teacher Adam Bledsoe. Vaal is involved in the Sunshine Society, Art Club, Beta Club, Spanish Club, International Thespian Society and Crochet Club. Vaal has an older sister, Aubree Vaal, and a younger brother, Zander Zeabart.

Southerner: What is your favorite movie?
Vaal: “I really like ‘The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.’ I think that movie is really cool. It shows that you can do anything you put your mind to.”
Southerner: Who is your favorite teacher?
Vaal: “Mr. Bledsoe, because I have a lot of fun in his class.”
Southerner: What do you like most about school?
Vaal: “I like the people here, and I like seeing my friends.”
Southerner: Would you rather read a book or watch a movie?
Vaal: “Watch a movie. You can watch a movie in a faster time than you can read a book.”
Southerner: If you won a million dollars, what would you buy?
Vaal: “I will probably invest it and donate some of it.”
Southerner: What is your idea of the perfect day?
Vaal: “A nice summer day, nice and warm, probably walking around with my friends.”
Southerner: What is one thing on your bucket list?
Vaal: “I want to go to California to see the Sea of Stars because it’s full of water that when you touch it, it glows, and it looks really cool.”
Southerner: What is your favorite food?
Vaal: “I really like lasagna. I really don’t know why it’s my favorite food.”
Southerner: What is the best gift you have ever received?
Vaal: “My dog because I love my dog, and I probably couldn’t imagine my life without my dog.”
Southerner: What is your favorite summertime activity?
Vaal: “I like going swimming. I just really like going swimming.”
Southerner: What is your favorite season?
Vaal: “I like fall. I think it’s very pretty, and I like seeing all the leaves change colors, and it’s like the perfect temperature.”
