Gavin McEllhiney is a freshman at Gibson Southern. McEllhiney previously attended Fort Branch during his elementary years. This year was his first ever year playing football.

Southerner: What do you like to do in your free time?
McEllhiney: “I like to play video games with my friends. I think it’s a lot of fun.”
Southerner: What do you think are your easiest and hardest classes?
McEllhiney: “My easiest is Spanish and hardest is Algebra. I’m not good with math.”
Southerner: Do you like to read, and if so, what’s your favorite book?
McEllhiney: “I don’t like reading, but if I had to choose it’d be Harry Potter. I don’t like to read because I can’t sit down for long periods of time.”
Southerner: Where’s your favorite place to get food at?
McEllhiney: “Probably Wendy’s. I like to get the Baconator.”
Southerner: How have you enjoyed Titan football?
McEllhiney: “I’ve really liked it. It’s been like one big family. I intend on continuing.”
Southerner: Do you have any hidden talents?
McEllhiney: “No, but I’d really like to learn how to do that tongue thing. Some people can turn their tongue to a clover, but I can just make mine a taco.”
Southerner: What’s your favorite music genre?
McEllhiney: “Probably hip-hop. Out[side] of hip-hop genres, I listen to old stuff because I live with my grandparents, basically Elvis and Johnny Cash.”
Southerner: Is there any instrument you can play?
McEllhiney: “I can play the drums. I started playing when I was about five, but I haven’t played in a while.”
Southerner: What do you plan to do when you graduate?
McEllhiney: “Probably go to college somewhere. I already have a scholarship, a 21st Century scholarship.”
Southerner: What are some things that you would like for people to know about you?
McEllhiney: “I am a Christian. I also love people.”
Southerner: Who is someone you trust the most?
McEllhiney: “Probably my Grandma. The trust has been built because she’s taken care of me my whole life.”
Southerner: What’s your favorite holiday?
McEllhiney: “Christmas. Because it’s Christmas. The food, the decorations, the spirit.”
Southerner: If you could fluently speak any foreign language what would you choose?
McEllhiney: “Spanish because it’s becoming a more popular language in the USA.”
Southerner: Would you rather be the strongest man in the world or the fastest man in the world?
McEllhiney: “The strongest. I’d be able to lift up anything or beat up anyone if I wanted to.”
Southerner: What is one thing on your bucket list?
McEllhiney: “To go to Germany. It’s where my family originated from, so it’d be cool to go to Germany and go through Scotland.”
