Summer Sprinkle is a freshman at Gibson Southern High School, previously attending Fort Branch Community School from her kindergarten to her 8th grade year. After high school, Summer wants to go to school to become a nurse. She is a part of Gibson Southern High School’s Sunshine Society Club and Study Council. Summer is the oldest child in the family and has a younger brother who is in sixth grade. She also loves being around her cousins and her other family members.

Southerner: What is your favorite book?
Sprinkle: “‘If You Had Been With Me.’ I think it’s good, and it’s sad.”
Southerner: What’s your favorite animal?
Sprinkle: “Rabbits because they’re so cute, and I show them at the fair.”
Southerner: If you could eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Sprinkle: “Probably Cheese Burgers because you could put anything on them.”
Southerner: What was the last book you read? Did you enjoy it?
Sprinkle: “Probably ‘Powerless,’ I really liked it. It’s going to be three books in a series.”
Southerner: What’s your favorite holiday?
Sprinkle: “Christmas, because I like snow and presents.”
Southerner: What’s your favorite season?
Sprinkle: “Fall – I like the weather, besides the rain.”
Southerner: Who is your favorite teacher here at Gibson Southern?
Sprinkle: “Mrs. Vieira because she’s funny and my aunt knows her, so I’ve met her before coming here.”
Southerner: Would you rather travel back in time or travel to the future?
Sprinkle: “Back in time so we do things that I didn’t get to do.”
Southerner: What are some of your favorite hobbies?
Sprinkle: “I like doing 4-H because it’s like doing all the hobbies. And, I like reading; I enjoy it.”
Southerner: What is your favorite restaurant?
Sprinkle: “I like R’Z and Texas Roadhouse. I can’t choose between them.”
Southerner: What do you like least about school?
Sprinkle: “Waking early because I like staying up late and sleeping in. I’m definitely not a morning person.”
Southerner: What do you like most about school?
Sprinkle: “Seeing my friends and the theater because you don’t have to sit in one place all the time like you do in other classes. You can move around.”
Southerner: What is your favorite subject?
Sprinkle: “English is okay because you get to read novels that you wouldn’t actually pick up and read yourself.”
