Erica Narruhn is a junior at Gibson Southern High School. She is a part of the Sunshine Society, choir, and is a member of the International Thespian Society Troupe #5623. She works at Showplace Cinemas in Princeton. She plans to go to college for nursing. Narruhn has been in Vaudeville for two years, as well as in “Mama Mia” and “Footloose.”

Southerner: What is a childhood memory that makes you happy?
Narruhn: “My dog bubbles made me happy all the time. I miss him and wish he was still here with us today.”
Southerner: How do you handle criticism, and do you use it for personal growth?
Narruhn: “I take it decently, and I use it all to improve myself.”
Southerner: What do you think the purpose of life is?
Narruhn: “[It] Is to live it without fear and to make sure you enjoy it.”
Southerner: What is something you always dreamed of doing but were too scared to do?
Narruhn: “I always dreamed of auditioning for theater, but in the past few years, I grew out of it.”
Southerner: What drives you to get up every morning?
Narruhn: “Seeing my friends and loved ones every day.”

Southerner: What do you do to try to feel calm when something goes wrong?
Narruhn: “I talk to my friends about it and ask for advice.”
Southerner: What was your dream job when you were little?
Narruhn: “To become a singer.”
Southerner: What is your guilty pleasure?
Narruhn: “I like doom-scrolling on TikTok when I should be doing something else.”
Southerner: If you could fix one of the world’s biggest problems, what would it be?
Narruhn: “I would say, like the homeless problem. It is a horrible way to live, and people deserve better.”
Southerner: If you could have dinner with anyone, who’s one person you’d go with?
Narruhn: “Ariana Grande because I have been a huge fan forever, and meeting her would be a dream.”
