Dalaney Schatz is a freshman at Gibson Southern High School. This is her first year on the newspaper staff. She is a member of the Future Farmers of America and the archery team. This will be her 7th year shooting archery and her first year being involved in FFA. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing poetry and watching a good horror movie. Dalaney enjoys baking with her mom and hunting and fishing with her stepdad. She has a younger brother who plays football, and she enjoys supporting him in his football journey. On Sundays she is a member of a youth group at St. Joseph Church in Princeton. She is looking forward to being a part of “The Southerner” and writing stories that keep her fellow students informed about events that are happening in school and in their community.
