Greenlee Powers is a sophomore at Gibson Southern High School. This is her first year as a staff member for “The Southerner” online. Greenlee is a member of Gibson Southern’s girls golf team and plays the clarinet in the high school band. She loves reading short mystery novels (her favorite being “The Murders in the Rue Morgue” by Edgar Allen Poe), writing and playing her bass guitar. Greenlee enjoys exploring new music artists and collecting music CDs in her free time. Her favorite authors are Edgar Allen Poe and Louisa May Alcott. Greenlee aspires to become a broadcast journalist as her future career.
