With the release of the next Gen consoles Playstation 5(Ps5) and the Xbox series x, there have been many conversations on which is better. Some believe that their console is superior in every way, while others just prefer one slightly more than the other. Which is better, the Ps5 or Xbox series x? I think the Ps5 is better in most ways and I’m going to tell you why. 

The Xbox series x was released worldwide on November 10, 2020 at a total of $499.99. The Ps5 was released worldwide on November 19, 2020 with a price of $499.99 as well. The Xbox series X did really well off of launch

 “Thank you for supporting the largest launch in Xbox history,” Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox, tweeted on November 11.  “In 24 hrs more new consoles sold, in more countries, than ever before.”  

But, the Ps5 did really well also. While Xbox had the largest launch of any of their consoles the Ps5 more than doubled the Xbox series X sales according to Cbr.com. 

This is well earned. The Ps5 is a very powerful console, more powerful than the Xbox Series x. The controller seems to be the best part. It is called DualSense and it vibrates based on what you are doing. Compared to the Xbox series x it is miles better. 

I think that with the Ps5 and the Ps4 having better sales and in my opinion being better consoles, we can say that Sony( Playstation) has better consoles than Microsoft  (Xbox). I am not saying that the Xbox series x is a bad console. Microsoft is known for their great customer service and their amazing updates. While Sony is average in these categories at best. 

The advantages the Ps5 console has over the Xbox series x puts Sony ahead of Microsoft in the console feud. Microsoft needs to step up their game if they hope to catch up to Sony. It is important to remember not to hate on the console you don’t like unconstructively. Both consoles are good and you should respect other people’s opinions. That being said the Sony consoles are superior to Microsofts in my opinion. Which do you think is the better console, Playstation or Xbox?
