_____
Southerner: “What was it like moving from Brazil to a small town in southern Indiana?”
Beuligmann: “I miss the beaches a lot because there aren’t really any beaches around here, so I miss them a lot, actually. Most of the girls in Brazil have Brunette hair compared to here with the girls having blonde hair. The climate is also really different, and the weather because there is no snow there.”
Southerner: “What are some things or hobbies you enjoy doing in your free time?”
Beuligmann: “I like doing a lot of things, but I did gymnastics, and I danced a lot. I used to do gymnastics in Brazil. I don’t know where to do it here because there’s not a place to do actual gymnastics.”
Southerner: “What do you want to be when you grow up?”
Beuligmann: “I want to be a criminal expert. I love all the types of criminal documentary things.”
Southerner: “Do you enjoy living here in Indiana or would you prefer living in Brazil more?”
Beuligmann: “I don’t know. I have no idea actually. I mean, people here are less welcoming if you can say that. Brazil is kind of famous because of the people being really welcoming and being really nice. The people here are nice to you, they just aren’t going to hug you when you meet them.”
Southerner: “What is something you wish people knew about you?”
Beuligmann: “I speak two languages, Portuguese and English. I did Spanish for one year, but I don’t speak it at all. I just understand it, but I do not speak it.”
Southerner: “Who do you admire in your life and why?”
Beuligmann: “My mom. She came here with me and my sister, and my dad is still in Brazil. So, she has to take care of everything. I think she is really brave for that.”
Southerner: “What is your favorite thing to do after school?”
Beuligmann: “I do a lot of stuff after school. When I get home after school, I do my homework because I want to get it over with. I like to edit videos. I get videos and then I put it all together. I do it for church.”
Southerner: “Do you like traveling? Where have you visited?”
Beuligmann: “I do like traveling. I mean I’ve been to Brazil and the United States and that’s it. But yeah, I do like traveling. I really like Disney, and I went when I was little. It was really cool.”
Southerner: “Do you have any strange phobias?”
Beuligmann: “Not strange because it’s common but spiders. I’m actually terrified, like actually terrified of spiders, and I do not like them at all.”
Southerner: “Have you ever met anyone famous?
Beuligmann: “I don’t think so. If I did, I think I was really little, but not recently, no.”
Southerner: “How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?”
Beuligmann: “I wake up at 6:30, and I go to the bus at 7:30, so an hour.”
Southerner: “What is your favorite type of foreign food and where do you like to get it from?”
Beuligmann: “That’s really hard. It’s called Stroganoff. It’s different because we make it different but there’s a lot of other things. Palha Italiana (Brazilian fudge and broken tea cookie squares) is also one of my favorite foods.”
