Senior Meredith Raley was honored before the game on 12/9 for passing 1,000 career points. Raley was presented a commemorative ball by Head Coach Kyle Brasher.

November 22, 2019 marked a special day for senior basketball player Meredith Raley. On that day, not only did the Lady Titans beat Princeton, but Raley hit her 1,000th career point. Hitting 1,000 points is a great accomplishment that not many players achieve.

I couldn’t be more happy and proud of any of our players that reaches 1,000 points,” said Lady Titan Head Coach Kyle Brasher, “It happens when young people put time into their game, into the off-season and execute our offensive principes.”

Raley has had 1,000 career points in her sights ever since her older sister, Maddie Raley, achieved the feat her junior year at GSHS. From that moment, Raley knew that this was something she could and wanted to accomplish, too.

“It felt great when they announced that I got it,” Raley said, “I didn’t know how close I was or that it would happen so fast.”

Hard work and determination is what contributes to an accomplishment like this, and Raley is very deserving of it.
