Payton Scheller is a freshman at Gibson Southern High School. Along with running for the Lady Titan cross country team, she also is a team manager for the Gibson Southern football and the Lady Titan basketball teams. Scheller is also a part of Sunshine Society and loves hanging out with her friends. She is also the youngest of three older brothers.

Southerner: What are your favorite hobbies?
Scheller: “Probably going outside and probably running. I love running for my team.”
Southerner: What is one thing you think you do well as a student?
Scheller: “I’m hard working; I work hard. I feel like I can always do better if I work harder at stuff.”
Southerner: If you were to write a book, what would it be about?
Scheller: “Probably about Organ Donation because it’s a really cool thing to hear about. Or, I would write about God. I like learning about him.”
Southerner: What class do you wish Gibson Southern offered?
Scheller: “Probably a driving class, so I wouldn’t have to work on it in the summertime during my free time, and it’s very time consuming.”
Southerner: What is your favorite holiday?
Scheller: “Christmas because it’s around my birthday, and I love going shopping for Christmas stuff.”
Southerner: Would you rather do a school project by yourself or with friends?
Scheller: “With friends because it’s more opinions on how you want to make the project, and it’s more fun.”
Southerner: Do you have any siblings?
Scheller: “I have three siblings. The oldest is Noah, and he’s 25 years old. Isaac is 22 years old. Luke is 18 years old. And, I’m the youngest; I’m 16.”
Southerner: Would you rather have a dog or a cat?
Scheller: “A cat. They don’t bark, and you don’t have to take a cat out; they have a litter box.”
Southerner: Do you play any sports? How did you get into playing them?
Scheller: “Yes, I run cross country. My friend at St. James told me I should do it, and I fell in love with the sport. I love being with my teammates.”
Southerner: What’s your biggest dream or goal in life?
Scheller: “I really want to go to London. I want to see Buckingham Palace and I want to see Big Ben. I think it would just be a cool place to go visit.”
