Emilie DeWeese, Editor-in-Chief

Emilie DeWeese is a senior at Gibson Southern. This is her third year on “The Southerner” staff. Emilie joined the staff due to her love for writing and to hone her writing skills. Emilie is very career focused and plans to go to college to become a women’s health nurse. She currently works at Polka Dots Play Cafe. Outside of nursing and writing, Emilie enjoys exercise, cooking, listening to music, taking nature walks, playing “The Sims 4” and spending time with family. She loves to travel in order to experience new places and learn new things.
