Senior Eva Spindler

Eva Spindler, Editor-in-Chief

Eva Spindler is a senior at Gibson Southern High School. This is her third year on “The Southerner” staff and is the current Editor-in-Chief. Eva spends a majority of her time working as the head of sound for the Gibson Southern Theatre Department. In her free time, Eva listens to “Oldies” music and true crime podcasts. Her favorite song is “Everybody Wants to Rule the World.” Additionally, Eva is an officer for Gibson Southern’s Family, Career and Community Leaders of America chapter, Vice President of International Thespian Society Troupe #5623 and Social Media Coordinator for Gibson Southern’s Gender and Sexuality Alliance club.

Dr. Stacey Humbaugh could finally breathe easy and laugh when Gibson Southern won the class 3A Football State Championship on Friday, November 26. She later said this was the best Christmas gift she could ever receive, and it came with jewelry. Humbaugh will retire from her post as superintendent at the end of June 2022.
